Nestled alongside the serene shores of Harrison Lake, the Rockwell-Harrison Guest Lodge offers an idyllic escape for couples seeking a romantic getaway or anyone wanting to unwind in a naturally beautiful setting. From the moment we arrived, hosts Kristy and Roy welcomed us like old friends, their warmth reflecting the genuine care they infuse into every part of the experience. Our spacious room, elegantly crafted with exposed timber beams, featured large windows framing stunning lake views, which made our morning coffee on the balcony an ethereal experience. Breakfast was truly a highlight, with Roy’s skilled cooking paired perfectly with Kristy’s delicious baked goods, showcasing the best of local produce with every bite. What really resonated with me was their commitment to sustainability, as seen in their thoughtful choices to minimize plastic usage and the eco-friendly amenities throughout the property. This dedication to both guest comfort and the environment aligns beautifully with my values as an environmental scientist. The lodge’s location also proved advantageous, allowing us to easily explore nearby hiking trails and enjoy a casual evening meal at the Settler Pub, further adding to our memorable stay. The Rockwell-Harrison is more than just a place to sleep; it’s an experience that combines stunning nature, responsible tourism, and the kind of hospitality that lingers in your heart long after you leave.
